ASRock 4x4 Industrial boards
Famous ASRock brand is producing compact computers in the 'NUC' format, which a small boxed computer that can sit next to your screen, initially popularized by Apple with its iconic Mac Mini.
Those boards, named 4x4 because of the size of the PCB, doing roughly 4 inch square (100mm x 100mm), pack a CPU, dual RAM socket, NGFF slots and a bunch of connectors.
Those computers are available in two forms: in NUC like format, boxed with an external power brick or barebone, just the PCB.
List of ASRock 4x4 offer can be seen there. Notice that not all those boards are eligible to be hosted inside the EdgeCluster. Only a selected subset is offered.
Intel is also an option
While the EdgeCluster is aiming at the flagship ASRock 4x4 8840U, other laptop CPU like the NUC-155H R2 is also possible.
All those boards share the same physical layout and can be mounted inside the EdgeCluster. Depending of the configuration, a stronger or additional power supply might be needed to securely feed the boards.
